Participants in our church community are active in many areas of our community.  Below are just some of the ways we are involved.

  • Mennonite Central Committee is our agency for world relief, peace and justice efforts. 
    (403-275-6935 Calgary)

  • Ten Thousand Villages Gift Shop (327-8087) in 329 5th St. South offers beautiful gifts hand crafted by village artisans overseas.

  • MCC Thrift Shop (329-4808) at 1251 - 2 Avenue South, offers a way to recycle previously owned clothing and household items.

  • Inter-Faith Food Bank (320-8779) is supported by our congregation, in cooperation with other faith groups.

  • The Soup Kitchen (320-8688) sponsored by the faith community offers a hot noon meal to the hungry.

  • Lethbridge Habitat for Humanity (327-4336) an inter-faith project offers home ownership for low income families.

  • Assisting Newcomers (223-4144) MCC Alberta Services for Low German Mennonites in Taber helps people to adjust to life in Alberta  and receive help with immigration, housing, language, education and health needs.

  • The Lethbridge Inter-Church Committee for Global Justice tackles international issues together with other Ten Days for Global Justice groups.

  • Mennonite Voluntary Service provides an opportunity for people from Canada, U.S. and Germany to get involved in service opportunities for 1-2 years is sponsored by L.M.C.  Click on Mennonite Voluntary Service for more information.

  • Chinook L'Arche is a part of a world wide network of Christian communities inspired by the Beatitudes.  At the heart of the communities are persons who are mentally challenged and those who share life with them.
